It's time to regain your full, vibrant health

Tell me if this sounds familiar...

You feel stuck in the cycle of chronic pain or other chronic symptoms, and are ready for a neuroscience focussed, mind-body approach to recovery.

You identify with leaning anxious, being self-critical or gravitating towards patterns of overworking, perfectionism or people pleasing.

You want individualised, 1:1 expert guidance to help you shift out of survival mode, and take the steps towards cultivating health from the inside out (not just another cookie cutter technique).

Hello and welcome, I'm Jennie

Chronic Pain and Wellness Coach

Physiotherapist by trade

I am here to help you get un-stuck from chronic pain or other chronic symptoms.

Having spent a decade struggling with chronic symptoms, I understand how scary it can feel, going from doctor to therapist to doctor, only to feel let down again, or for symptoms to change or spread.

Despite what we may have been told, recovering from chronic pain is not about another injection, another exercise regime or another diet.  Modern neuroscience demonstrates time and time again that symptoms persist so long as our brain and nervous system remain in a state of threat.

Mind-body work sounds lofty, but it's really just about creating the internal practices to shift your nervous system to a place of safety, where pain (or fatigue/breathlessness etc) is no longer needed.

Today I am 100% pain free.  But getting here has been a process transformative inner work.  Recovery can be simple, but it's not always easy.  You deserve to live a full, rich and meaningful life and I serve to guide you along that path.

There is a reason you aren't better...

Persistent pain or pain that started out of the blue is fundamentally different to acute injury.  So it cannot be treated successfully in the same way.  Even if the pain goes away temporarily, so often another symptom crops up in its place.

Thankfully, the last twenty years of  research demonstrate that persistent symptoms are primarily driven by over-protective, consistent chemical signalling within the brain and central nervous system.

This is where a neuroscience informed, mind-body approach can help to understand what is driving this signalling to continue, and to start to shift the nervous system towards safety, create new chemical signalling, and reduce the output of pain for protection.

How can we work together?

01

Nervous system health

Understand how and why you have become stuck in a cycle of persistent pain/persistent symptoms.

Implement applied neuroscience with personalized  daily nervous system drills, somatic practices and/or brain based exercises to shift out of survival mode and set the landscape for recovery.

03

02

Pain Reprocessing Therapy

Implement elements of pain reprocessing therapy to cultivate new healthy neural networks in response to the natural fear and frustration that comes with symptoms.

This is all about making your primitive brain feel safe, reducing the need for pain as protection.

Uncover and re-calibrate fears and beliefs

Get to know your 'protective parts', release past trauma and uncover false beliefs that are keeping your nervous system stuck in high alert and the pain cycle.
